As it is “inspired” by the Devil Series and its also mixes up the recipe a little, introducing some Red Wine Barriques to the maturation, and carrying an age statement of 10 years.

The whisky itself is quite delectable, rich in chocolately, spicy fruit notes, with a good deal of toasted oak and vanilla flavours accompanying the inherent, slightly floral peat of Bowmore. The wine influence is a perfect match for the smoke of Bowmore’s whisky.

This whisky has been bottled at 46% ABV, and without chill filtration, meaning that the spirit is full in both flavour and mouthfeel.

The bottle is clearly highly inspired by both the red flames of hell and red colour of the wine used to produce it! An excellent addition to a range of delightfully devilish drams.
