Description

Cherry brandy is a spirit characterised by its cherry aroma and smooth flavour, accompanied by a mild undertone of cherry pits. Wallachia has a long distilling tradition, so it is small wonder that alongside plums, other fruits began being used as well, such as the late-harvest dark cherries typical of the region. Those grow fantastically well in the foothills of the Beskids, achieving ideal ripeness and sugar content.

This is a clear spirit with a characteristic cherry aroma and a slight undertone of cherry pits. Due to the traditional production and ageing process, its cherry flavour is smooth with a hint of cherry pits.

Our region is characterised by late-harvest varieties of dark cherries. It is these varieties that have traditionally been processed into mash and then triple distilled into delicious cherry brandy. The RUDOLF JELÍNEK company continues this tradition with its production processes that combine the modern technologies used in continuous distillation and the human touch of its experienced distillers. The pits remain in the mash the entire time so that the flavour of the resulting cherry brandy faithfully reflects the taste of fresh cherries.
