When Auchentoshan revamped their line back in 2011 many bemoaned the loss of the much loved 10-year-old offering that was at hits heart. Since, as often happens, the new has proven better than the old. Especially since it is the same brew taken to new heights. Auchentoshan 12-yar-old is the same whisky but given two extra years in the cask to mellow and gain even more of that vanilla and almond character that exemplifies Auchentoshan single malt scotch. Delicate on the tongue, Auchentoshan 12-Year-Old Scotch whisky has hints of tangerine and lime floating Beneatha its nutty surface and a little splash of water reveals a rosy note easily overlooked.
