At 6.8 percent ABV and 72 IBU, Balter IPA is easily the biggest beer in the Balter Brewing Co family. Unveiled at Good Beer Week at their Gold Coast brewery in 2017, the Balter IPA launch party included a massive shuffleboard and guests used the tins they’d be given to sample upon arrival to join the shuffleboard game en masse. Head brewer Scotty Hargrave has “this thing called sensinesis where sometimes you taste colours” and IPAs “taste purple to me”.
