Description

Cacc’e Mmitte di Lucera “Motta del Lupo” is a red wine closely linked to the Apulian territory and is obtained from the assembly of different local varieties. On the nose it expresses a complex olfactory spectrum: berries, cinnamon and plum. The sip is very drinkable, energetic, marked by a compact and refreshing freshness. Wine that can also be paired with fish dishes.

The Apulian red Cacc’e Mmitte di Lucera “Motta del Lupo” Petrilli is a wine that tells of the strong bond of the winery with the territory. We are faced with a blend composed of native grapes and vines that adapt well to the conformation of the soil, capable of expressing an interesting aromatic range, ordered around different olfactory nuances. The tasting then continues with a highly drinkable sip , of excellent gastronomic significance. A label that well interprets the concept of “everyday wine” for those who wish to indulge in a glass of wine, for lunch or dinner, at an excellent price.

This “Motta del Lupo” Cacc’e Mmitte di Lucera by Petrilli originates from a blend in which we find Uva di Troia, Sangiovese, Montepulciano and Bombino Bianco. These different varieties grow with the spurred cordon system in calcareous soils, about 300 meters above sea level. The yields between the rows are low, and the work in the vineyards follows organic farming practices. The grapes are softly pressed, and the resulting must ferments in steel tanks for a total of seven days. The wine remains to mature for a total of six months in steel , before being bottled and marketed.

The Cacc’e Mmitte di Lucera “Motta del Lupo” Petrilli reveals itself to the eye with a light ruby red color, not too intense and concentrated. On the nose, different sensations alternate that recall small red fruit, enriched by references to basil and nuances of cinnamon and spices. When tasted it is light-bodied tending towards medium, with a dynamic sip that asserts itself on the palate with softness, revealing a finish of good palatal persistence. A very versatile label in the kitchen , which elegantly accompanies different recipes and ingredients.
