Description
CAMUS Caribbean Expedition is a one-of-a-kind small batch Cognac (4500 bottles) with a double maturation in Oceanic and Tropical climates. To experiment innovative ways of maturing Cognac under unusual environmental factors, at the end of 2018 CAMUS loaded 10 individually selected casks in their 4th year of ageing on the De Gallant tall ship, which sailed on the Transatlantic route leading to Barbados. Once on the island, the Cognac was entrusted to Foursquare Master Distiller Richard Seale for 1 year of further maturation in Tropical conditions. The very unique climate, under which the maturation happened, accelerated changes in colour and flavour pofile, creating a Cognac with a distinctive, highly aromatic taste that is an absolute first in the history of the category.
