Description
Renzo Masi Cantine Renzo M. Cornioleta Chianti
Italy / Tuscany / Chianti
Grapes: Colorino, Sangiovese
The Masi family is a winemaking family through and through and has been making wine in the Chianti region since 1900. The winery is located in the famous wine village of Rufina, where they make Chianti, Chianti Riserva and a number of more modern styles. For example, the Rosso di Toscana ‘Erta e China’, which literally means ‘up and down’, referring to the manual harvest in the vineyards of Rufina. In addition, they have recently also started making a fairly unique Appassimento style from Sangiovese and the ‘jammy’ Syrah, called Contrappasso.
Fruity wine with notes of blackberries and cherries in the taste, beautifully balanced with a soft structure.
