Description

The story began in 1685 during the reign of Louis XIV when Louis Deau settled in the region as a wine grower and thereafter discovered the magical alchemy of pot stills. For several generations the Bru Legaret family has been owning a large vineyard in the heart of the Cognac region. Nowadays, both Véronique Bru Legaret and her son Roland Legaret preside over the destiny of the eau Cognac brand.

Its name, Black, is a reference to the color of the blind tasting glasses used by the cellar masters. Black is a blend of eaux-de-vie mostly from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne terroirs.
