Unlike the Michter’s Bourbon or Rye which, by definition, must be aged in new oak barrels, the US*1 Unblended American Whiskey is matured in already-used barrels, much like a Scotch.  This allows it to achieve a rich and truly unique flavour.  And with the company’s habitual commitment to high quality, this whiskey contains no neutral grain spirits – hence its “unblended” distinction.  All in all, a delicious American take on a more Scottish Whisky style.

Tasting note:  Soft and seductive, with deep butterscotch and vanilla notes, hints of caramel and dried tropical fruits, and a peachy, fresh, and floral finish.
