Description

Elixir of Elderflower is made by macerating black elderflowers in extra-fine grain alcohol with added sugar. After a thorough soaking, the flowers are filtered out, leaving behind a characteristic light gold colour and giving the liquid a naturally hazy appearance. The last step is the dilution of the mixture with water to 14.7% ABV.

Black elderflower is sought after today for its excellent taste, which is widely popular especially for making syrup out of its flowers. That is why we have decided to follow a similar path and create what is essentially an alcoholic black elderflower syrup, which contains all the healthful substances while also tasting great. The resulting liqueur is an excellent ingredient for drink mixing in combination with carbonated water, low-sugar tonic, or even sparkling wine.
