Description
Ross Hill ‘Maya’ Chardonnay is a modern incarnation of the variety, with a focus on fruit rather than artifice, it is youthful and crisp in the glass. Time on lees has built a soft and creamy texture – far more serious than the price would suggest. Cool-climate lemon pith, with white nectarines leading the mid palate. Bright, crunchy acidity lends drive and structure. Astute winemaking has instilled a gentle minerality in this wine – again, seldom seen in wines of this price. A wine that is complex and compelling.
