The second addition to The Original Stories series from The Glenlivet! This expression follows The Glenlivet 12 Year Old – Illicit Still, and celebrates the next chapter in the history of the distillery’s founder George Smith. After years of illicit distilling, Smith became one of the first to gain a license to legally distill Scotch following the passing of the 1823 Excise Act. Matured for 12 years in a combination of American and European oak, we reckon he’d be rather proud of this splendid Speysider.
