Bright, deep, purple/red colour. The bouquet is fresh and bright, intense and clean, loaded with blueberry, blackberry and violet aromas. Very regional. The wine is full-bodied and deliciously juicy, the accessible sweet fruit backed by a wealth of firm but appropriate tannins. Blackcurrants overflow through the finish. The tannins finish faintly sappy, but it’s a stand-out wine at the price.
