Shinjir? Torii first opened Torii Sh?ten in early 1899 in Osaka as an imported wine store. He changed the name to Kotobukiya company in 1921 as the business continued to scale and evolve its offering and eventually became Suntory in 1963 as a combination of a reference to the sun and an anglicized spelling of Torii’s name. Suntory Kakubin Yellow Label is a 40% ABV Japanese Blended Whisky created by Suntory’s founder in 1937. It’s nicknamed Kakubin (square bottle) and boasts sweet notes with bold flavours and a crisp, refreshing finish. Best served as a classic Kakubin highball with soda water, thick wedges of lemon and crushed ice.
